Hawaii GIS Maps by County: The Parcel Viewer Each Uses
Which parcel map software each Hawaii county uses (5 of 5 verified), how to search the common viewers, and a link to every official map.
Looking for Hawaii county GIS maps? Hawaii has 5 counties, and their official parcel maps do not all run on the same software. Knowing which viewer a county uses tells you what the search box expects and where the parcel details are.
One of the five, Kalawao, has no county government of its own; our directory points it to the Maui County tax parcel viewer. Hawaii parcels are identified by a Tax Map Key (TMK) number, so have the TMK ready if you have one, as it is the quickest way to pull up a lot.
Searching property records across Hawaii is easier once you know which kind of map you are about to open. We checked the official viewer listed for each of the 5 Hawaii entries in the Platbookmapper directory and tallied them by platform.

Before you rely on what you find
Online parcel lines are drawn for tax mapping, not surveys, so they can sit a few feet off the real boundary. For anything legal, such as a fence, a sale or a dispute, use the recorded deed and a licensed surveyor. To check flood zones, soils or wetlands for a spot you found, open it on the Platbookmapper Land Map, which pulls FEMA, USDA and U.S. Fish & Wildlife layers.
