TMK and island parcel tips
Platbookmapper links out and never hosts Hawaii parcel layers. Select Honolulu, Hawaii, Maui, or Kauai County, open the official viewer, and search by TMK, address, or owner when available. Island geography matters: shoreline setbacks, lava-zone context on Hawaiʻi Island, and conservation district overlays often sit next to the tax parcel.
Hawaiian land tenure includes fee simple, leasehold, and historic ahupuaʻa context that assessor maps only partially reflect. TMK formatting (zone-section-plat-parcel) is the reliable crosswalk—street addresses alone can be ambiguous in rural areas. Neighbor islands may split viewers between county GIS and real-property search portals; follow the outbound link and confirm the .gov or official county domain.
Web parcels are not surveys. Use recorded maps and licensed surveyors for boundaries and construction.
TMK zone numbers tell you which island/context you are in—double-check before assuming a Honolulu format applies on Maui or Hawaiʻi Island. Leasehold disclosures may appear in real-property notes rather than as a map color; read the attribute panel. Our hub only routes you outbound.

No. County GIS parcels are tax and planning layers. For legal boundaries, use a recorded plat or hire a licensed surveyor.
Why do some Hawaii counties say Verify via map?
We only mark a county Listed when we have a curated direct interactive viewer URL. Verify counties still open from the national map with the best available outbound link — always confirm it is the official local source.
Does Platbookmapper draw property lot lines?
No. We do not host or redraw parcel geometry. Our product is a USA → county → official GIS link directory so you can open the local interactive map in a new tab.
