BC Parcel Map and PID Lookup: Free with iMapBC

Find a British Columbia parcel and its nine-digit PID for free: turn on the ParcelMap BC layer in iMapBC, plus the Greater Victoria map.

Want to find a British Columbia parcel or its PID without paying? The province's free iMapBC viewer can show the official ParcelMap BC layer. Here is how to use it and what the numbers mean.

How BC land is identified

Using iMapBC to see parcel lines

  1. Open iMapBC (Government of British Columbia). It's free and needs no login.
  2. Open the layer list and add the ParcelMap BC parcel layer. It isn't switched on when the map opens.
  3. Zoom in. Lot lines only draw at closer zoom levels.
  4. Click a parcel to see its attributes, such as the PID and plan number.

iMapBC won't give you the owner's name or a title copy. Those come from the LTSA and cost a fee.

Greater Victoria

The Capital Regional District Regional Map covers Greater Victoria and is quicker to use there than the province-wide viewer.

Tips

All current BC links are on our British Columbia land maps page.

Accuracy: a map is not a survey

Online parcel maps are drawn for registry, tax and planning use. Lines can be off by a few metres, sometimes more. For a fence, a setback, a building permit or a sale, check the registered plan and hire a Canadian land surveyor licensed in that province or territory.
