NWT Land Parcel Map: Free ATLAS Viewer Guide
Use the free NWT ATLAS map to see every land parcel, who administers it and any tenure, plus the federal CLSS Map Browser for Canada Lands.
In the Northwest Territories, the territorial government's ATLAS map shows every land parcel and who administers it. ATLAS stands for the Administration of the Territorial Lands Act System. It's published free by the NWT Centre for Geomatics.
What ATLAS shows
- Every land parcel and the government that administers it
- Whether a parcel has active or pending tenure, such as a lease, on Territorial and Commissioner's land
How to use it
- Open the ATLAS map viewer.
- Use Global Search to find a parcel description, an NTS map sheet or a lake name.
- Click a parcel for its details, including its lot/plan description and any tenure number.
Federal Canada Lands
For surveyed federal Canada Lands parcels and plans, use the CLSS Map Browser from Natural Resources Canada.
See our Northwest Territories land maps page.
Accuracy: a map is not a survey
Online parcel maps are drawn for registry, tax and planning use. Lines can be off by a few metres, sometimes more. For a fence, a setback, a building permit or a sale, check the registered plan and hire a Canadian land surveyor licensed in that province or territory.
