Alberta Land Title Map: Free Parcel and LINC Lookup

How to use the free Alberta Land Titles map, read a LINC and a legal land description, and find Calgary and Edmonton parcel maps.

Looking for a free Alberta land title map? The province's Alberta Registry for Land Online (ALRO) has a map search you can open without signing in. This guide covers what it shows, how Alberta parcels are identified, and the two big-city maps worth bookmarking.

How Alberta land is identified

The free Alberta Land Titles map

Open the Alberta Registry for Land Online: Land Titles map. It covers the whole province, and searching and viewing the map are free. You only pay if you order a title or plan copy. When we checked it in October 2026, the site was announcing that registered-document fees rose from $10.00 to $15.00 as of October 1, 2026.

  1. Pan or zoom to the area, or search by the identifier you have.
  2. Click a parcel to see its legal description and the identifiers you need for ordering.
  3. Write down the LINC or the plan/block/lot before ordering anything, so you order the right title.

Calgary and Edmonton

City maps are good for checking lot shapes, addresses and nearby zoning. The provincial title map is the place to confirm the legal description.

Searches people use

Searches like "Alberta land title map free", "Alberta LINC lookup" and "Alberta legal land description map" all lead to the same ALRO map. Our Alberta land maps page keeps the current links in one place.

Accuracy: a map is not a survey

Online parcel maps are drawn for registry, tax and planning use. Lines can be off by a few metres, sometimes more. For a fence, a setback, a building permit or a sale, check the registered plan and hire a Canadian land surveyor licensed in that province or territory.
