City of Austin Plat Maps
Austin plat maps are the recorded subdivisions in the Austin area. Most of the city is in Travis County, with some lots in Williamson and Hays.

City of Austin plat maps are the recorded subdivision plats for lots in Austin, Texas, plus the county parcel map those lots sit on. Most of Austin is in Travis County. Parts of the city extend into Williamson County and Hays County. The plat you need follows the county that recorded it, which is also the county on the tax bill.
A plat shows lots, blocks, easements, and the subdivision name as filed. The appraisal district GIS map shows the tax parcel as drawn now. Use the parcel map to identify the property ID, then pull the plat if you need the original lot layout.
How to open them
- Start at the Platbookmapper home page.
- Open the Texas county directory and choose Travis County first, unless the tax bill names Williamson or Hays.
- Follow the official GIS link and search the site address or the property ID.
- Use that ID to find the subdivision plat in the county's recorded-document or plat search.
Platbookmapper links out to those county parcel and lot-line viewers. It does not host Austin plats, and the line on the map is not a survey of the corners.
Not a survey. County GIS and tax parcel maps are assessment and planning layers. They are not a substitute for a recorded plat, deed, or licensed survey.
