How to Find Your Lot Number
The lot number is printed inside the lot on the plat and cited in the deed.
Platbookmapper is an Amazon Associate. If you buy through an Amazon link on this page, we earn a commission. The link is a product, not the county map.
On the parcel viewer, open the legal description or the lot field for the account. Do not use the house number. 214 Elm Street is not Lot 214.
On the recorded sheet
If several lots were combined on the tax roll, the description may list each lot number even though you see one polygon.
The mix-up to avoid
The lot number without the plat name is incomplete.
Find the county map
Search the county on the Platbookmapper home page. The directory links to the official parcel viewer. It does not draw the lots, and the line on the screen is an assessment map, not a survey.
Not a survey. County GIS and tax parcel maps are assessment and planning layers. They are not a substitute for a recorded plat, deed, or licensed survey.
