Introducing the County Parcel GIS Directory
Looking up a property shouldn’t mean guessing which county website hides the parcel map. Platbookmapper’s County GIS Directory puts every U.S. county on one map and sends you straight to the local GIS map or parcel viewer — the same path for a Michigan parcel map or any other state’s county stack.
Platbookmapper is an Amazon Associate. If you buy through an Amazon link on this page, we earn a commission. The link is a product, not the county map.
What it is
The County GIS Directory is a simple USA map. Zoom in, click a county, and open that county’s official interactive parcel viewer — Beacon, ArcGIS Experience, FetchGIS, county Web AppViewers, and similar tools. We are a link hub, not a lot-line product.
We keep curated direct viewer links for hundreds of counties and growing, with Michigan nearly complete and Midwest, Sun Belt, and Mountain West coverage expanding every week — including a deep Utah parcel-map series on this blog.
Why we built it this way
Hosting or redrawing tax-parcel geometry for ads gets messy fast — licenses, attribution, and “is this a survey?” risk. Linking out to the county’s own map keeps the data where it belongs: with the assessor, equalization office, or GIS shop that maintains it.
- Direct viewers only — interactive parcel maps when we can verify them.
- Census county outlines — for finding the right place, not for measuring boundaries.
- Outbound in a new tab — you leave Platbookmapper for the official site.
- Clear disclaimer — not for survey or legal use. Ever.
Utah and the parcel-map keywords
Search demand around Utah is a perfect example of why a directory helps: Utah County parcel map, Salt Lake County parcel map, Cache / Davis / Washington County, plus statewide “Utah parcel map” and generic “parcel mapping” queries. We wrote dedicated guides for those — start at the blog index.
What’s next
We’re filling the remaining U.S. counties the same way: one verified parcel viewer at a time. Ads stay in the header strip. The map itself stays an index.
