The search
People type "Maryland Plat Maps" when they want one map for the whole state. Maryland plat maps are county land records, except Baltimore City, which is separate from Baltimore County.
Where the sheet is kept
There is no single statewide plat book that replaces the local recording. A subdivision plat is filed where that state's land records are kept. The public parcel layer on a county or state viewer is an assessment map.

What the search will not do
A state plat-map search will not draw your lot line, and it will not turn a tax map into a survey. Use the recorded plat for the subdivision, and a licensed surveyor when the boundary is the question.
