Abbreviation traps
“NY” also matches New York County (Manhattan) in some datasets. If you meant the state, stay on the hub’s statewide list. If you meant Manhattan parcels, use the city property tools the directory indicates for that jurisdiction — do not open a North Country viewer by accident.
When the geocoder shrugs
