Property Lines Map NJ
A property lines map for New Jersey is the local parcel viewer. Open the county GIS map from Platbookmapper instead of relying on a statewide outline.
Platbookmapper is an Amazon Associate. If you buy through an Amazon link on this page, we earn a commission. The link is a product, not the county map.
New Jersey has 21 counties. Lots are small, boroughs and townships overlap people's sense of the address, and the county GIS parcel layer is what shows the line. The mailing city is often not the parcel's municipality.
The line people want is the assessor's parcel polygon: the lot as the local office maps it for taxes. It shows which parcel is which. It does not mark iron pins, and it is not precise enough for a fence or a setback. Aerial photos underneath the line are clues, not monuments.
Open the New Jersey property lines map
- Start at the Platbookmapper home page and search the county, parish, or borough.
- Or open the New Jersey directory and pick the local viewer from the list.
- Follow the official GIS link. That leaves Platbookmapper and opens the local parcel map.
- Search the site address or the parcel number on the tax bill. Vacant land and new buildings often have no address in the file yet.
Platbookmapper only links out to those local parcel and lot-line GIS maps. It does not host the lots, and the line on the screen is not a survey.
Not a survey. County GIS and tax parcel maps are assessment and planning layers. They are not a substitute for a recorded plat, deed, or licensed survey.
