Texas County Map
A Texas county map shows 254 county outlines. Parcel and lot-line GIS maps are published by each county, not by the state outline.

A Texas county map is the picture of 254 counties. It answers which county a town or a ranch sits in. It does not draw the lots inside that county. Texas is too big, and the parcel layer is kept locally by the county appraisal district.
People sometimes want this map with zip codes over it. Zip codes are postal areas. They cross county lines and they are not property lines. The lot line lives on the county GIS viewer.
Open a Texas parcel map
- Start at the Platbookmapper home page and search the county.
- Or browse the Texas county directory.
- Open the official GIS link. Search the site address or the property ID on the appraisal notice.
- Rural land often has no street address in the file. The property ID is the better search.
Platbookmapper links out to those local parcel and lot-line maps. It does not host the geometry, and the line on the screen is not a survey.
Not a survey. County GIS and tax parcel maps are assessment and planning layers. They are not a substitute for a recorded plat, deed, or licensed survey.
