What Is a Retaining Wall Easement
A retaining wall easement allows a wall and its footings to stand on a lot, often for a neighbor's grade or a road.

The plat should show which side maintains it. The footing can extend underground past the face of the wall, so the easement is wider than the visible concrete.
On the recorded sheet
Tying a new fence into that wall can violate the easement or load the wall.
The mix-up to avoid
The wall is not the lot line just because it is tall. The plat line is the lot line.
Find the county map
Search the county on the Platbookmapper home page. The directory links to the official parcel viewer. It does not draw the lots, and the line on the screen is an assessment map, not a survey.
Not a survey. County GIS and tax parcel maps are assessment and planning layers. They are not a substitute for a recorded plat, deed, or licensed survey.
