Franklin County, Ohio parcel viewer and parcel search
In Ohio, the county Auditor handles property records. Franklin County has two main tools:
- Parcel Viewer, from the Franklin County Auditor’s Office. It searches by address or place, and the county shows parcel IDs in an XXX-XXXXXX format. You can also search by drawing a shape, by value, or spatially.
- Auditor property search. Search by owner, address, parcel ID, subdivision and condo, or use Advanced and Map searches.
Tips from the Auditor’s owner search: type last name then first name, leave out quotes (enter O’Neil as ONeil), and use * as a wildcard, so Frank* matches Frank, Franklin and similar names. If there is no exact match, up to 500 results come back.
On September 25, 2026 the Auditor announced maintenance for Saturday, September 26, with the property search possibly unavailable from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight Eastern. The Parcel Viewer is the fallback when the search is down. The Auditor’s office is at 614-525-HOME (4663). For more on Columbus-area parcels, see our Franklin County OH GIS parcel map guide or Franklin County in our Ohio directory.
Franklin County, Washington parcel search
Washington’s Franklin County, home to Pasco, splits its tools between the Assessor and county GIS:
- Property search (TaxSifter), the Assessor’s record lookup.
- Assessor GIS map, a parcel viewer with a “Find parcel or address” search and Property Info and Parcel Values panels.
- County GIS maps. The county publishes several maps (base, assessor, districts, public works, SCBID and planning), each with address search, legend, basemaps, measure, share and print tools.
The Assessor’s office is at 1016 N 4th Avenue, A-104, in Pasco; 509-545-3506. Our directory entry is Franklin County in our Washington directory.
Franklin County, Pennsylvania parcel search
Pennsylvania’s Franklin County, centered on Chambersburg, uses a Uniform Parcel Identifier (UPI) for every parcel:
- Free Web Parcel Viewer, with a “Find UPI, address, or place” search. The county describes it as free, full public access with limited tax information. If it asks you to log in, the county says to clear your cache (Ctrl+F5).
- PLUS, a subscription viewer with full assessment data.
- County GIS portal, with other maps and data.
According to the county’s UPI program page, a UPI is a 20-digit number that includes dashes and/or periods. It is assigned by the Tax Assessment Office and must appear on documents submitted for recording. The same page notes that the free public Data Scout searches by property location or UPI, while the subscription version adds owner name search. GIS can be reached at 717-261-3149 and Tax Assessment at 717-261-3801. Our directory entry is Franklin County in our Pennsylvania directory.
How to tell which Franklin County you need
Before you search, confirm the state. A tax bill, deed or listing will name it, and so will the ZIP code. If all you have is a parcel number, its format is a clue: an XXX-XXXXXX parcel ID matches Franklin County, Ohio’s viewer, while a long UPI with dashes or periods points to Franklin County, Pennsylvania. When in doubt, pick the county on our national parcel map and open its official viewer from there.
