San Diego County Zip Code Map
A San Diego County zip code map shows postal delivery areas. For parcel and lot lines, use the county GIS viewer instead.

A San Diego County zip code map shows United States Postal Service delivery areas. Those areas are not property lines. A zip code can cover many parcels, and a single parcel does not "own" a zip boundary. Zip codes also ignore lot lines, city limits, and sometimes the way people describe a neighborhood.
If the question is "which post office delivers here," a zip map is the right tool. If the question is "which lot is this, and where does the county draw the parcel," you need the San Diego County parcel viewer.
Open the San Diego parcel and lot-line map
- Start at the Platbookmapper home page if you want the national directory.
- Open San Diego County in the California directory.
- Choose the official GIS link. The county parcel search listed there is the SanGIS parcel viewer.
- Search the site address or the parcel number. The outline you get is the tax parcel, not the zip code polygon.
Use the zip code to mail something. Use the county GIS map to identify the lot. The parcel line is still not a survey of the corners. Platbookmapper links you to that local viewer and does not host the lot lines itself.
Not a survey. County GIS and tax parcel maps are assessment and planning layers. They are not a substitute for a recorded plat, deed, or licensed survey.
