Volusia County Property Parcel Search: Property Appraiser Parcel Viewer and Records
A Volusia County property parcel search runs through the Volusia County Property Appraiser, whose site includes a text search and a Map Search parcel viewer. In Florida, the Property Appraiser handles values and parcel records and the Tax Collector handles bills. This guide shows how to search by name, address, Alt Key or parcel ID.

Parcel ID vs. Alt Key in Volusia County
Volusia records carry two identifiers, and both work in the search boxes:
- Parcel ID (PID), the parcel number.
- Alt Key, an alternate key the Property Appraiser also uses to identify an account.
If a document gives you one and a search wants the other, look the property up by address first. Both numbers appear on the record.
Volusia County property parcel search options
The home page search box accepts a name, address, Alt Key or parcel ID. For more control, the Property Appraiser offers:
- Real Property – Quick, Classic and Advanced searches.
- Sales Search for recent transfers.
- Personal Property search for tangible accounts.
- Tutorials if you are new to the tools.
The real property search opens behind a disclaimer that you accept by clicking Agree. It says the data was collected to build the tax roll and is not a substitute for an attorney, title company or registered surveyor. It also shows the date the data is current as of.
The Volusia parcel viewer (Map Search)
The Map Search page embeds the Property Appraiser’s map, which searches by PID, Alt Key or address. The office’s maps page calls the mapping application good for basic mapping needs and beginners. It shows county and some city zoning, aerials and parcel boundaries, and it can build surrounding-owner mailing lists, which is useful for notices or neighborhood outreach.
Volusia taxes and owner tools
Tax bills are paid to the Volusia County Tax Collector, which the county’s revenue page links. The Property Appraiser’s site has homestead filing, a tax estimator, TRIM notice information and an online mailing-address change.
Volusia County Property Appraiser office
The main office is at 123 W. Indiana Ave., Room 102, in DeLand; (386) 736-5901; open 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For coastal Florida neighbors, see our Brevard County and St. Johns County guides.
If the Volusia parcel viewer is down
If the map will not load, use the text searches, which do not need the map. Classic search is a good alternative when Quick search misbehaves. Our directory entry is at Volusia County in our Florida directory.
More Florida parcel viewers
Platbookmapper keeps a free, county-by-county directory of official parcel viewers and county GIS maps across the United States. The Florida county GIS page lists every county. If you research land in more than one county, start at the all-states directory or pick a county on the national parcel map, and you will land on the official viewer instead of a data-broker copy.

Not a survey. County GIS and tax parcel maps are assessment and planning layers. They are not a substitute for a recorded plat, deed, or licensed survey — especially for fences, setbacks, or boundary disputes.
