Connacht is the western province: Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo. Much of the land here passed through the Land Commission, so most is registered. Folio prefixes include GY for Galway and MY for Mayo.

How it works in Ireland
In the Republic of Ireland, Tailte Éireann (formerly the Property Registration Authority and Ordnance Survey Ireland) keeps the Land Registry. About 95% of the land area is registered, each property on a numbered folio with a linked registry map. The landdirect.ie map search is free to use as a Guest: zoom to 1:5,000 or closer and folio boundaries appear. A plain copy of a folio costs €5.
