Pima County Parcel Search: PimaMaps Parcel Viewer, Assessor and Treasurer
A Pima County parcel search can run through three free county sites: the PimaMaps parcel viewer, the Assessor’s property search and the Treasurer’s tax lookup. Each answers a different question, and this guide shows which one to open for a Pima parcel search by map, by number or by owner name.

PimaMaps: the Pima County parcel viewer
PimaMaps is the county’s interactive map, built on Geocortex for ArcGIS. The panel along the side offers Search, Layers, Filter, an “I want to…” menu, Tools and Basemaps, plus a coordinate readout. Search to jump to a location, then turn on the layers you need and click a parcel to see what the county has on file.
A map viewer is best when the question is about place: what is next door, how a lot sits against a wash or a road, or which of several desert parcels is the one in a listing. For a record-first lookup, the Assessor’s site is quicker.
Parcel search in Pima: the Assessor’s site
The Pima County Assessor home page has one search box labeled “Enter Parcel, Address, or Name,” with an Advanced Search option beside it. That single box covers the three common starting points:
- Parcel number from a tax bill, deed or listing.
- Address of the property.
- Name of the owner.
The Assessor’s site says it handles more than 434,514 real property parcels (tax year 2023), so a name search on a common surname will return plenty of results. Add a first name or switch to the parcel number when you have it.
Pima parcel search for taxes: the Treasurer
Taxes are billed and collected by the Pima County Treasurer. Its property search has two modes:
- State Code / Parcel Search. The box notes that you do not need dashes or spaces.
- Name / Mailing Address. Enter names last name first.
The Treasurer’s office is at 240 North Stone Avenue in Tucson, (520) 724-8341. The site also warns that tax lien sales not run through its Real Auction platform are not Pima County sales, which is worth remembering if you get an unsolicited offer.
Key dates the Assessor publishes
The Assessor’s calendar is useful context when a record looks out of date:
- January 1: the valuation date.
- March 1: the second half of the prior year’s taxes is due, and Notices of Value go out. Owners have 60 days to appeal.
- May 1: the second half becomes delinquent.
- September 1: the Treasurer mails delinquent notices.
Step-by-step Pima County parcel search
- If you know the address or owner, type it into the Assessor’s “Enter Parcel, Address, or Name” box.
- Copy the parcel number from the result.
- Open PimaMaps to see the parcel on the map with neighboring lots and layers.
- Paste the parcel number into the Treasurer’s search for the tax bill and payment status.
- For deeds and other recorded documents, go to the county Recorder.
If PimaMaps will not load
Geocortex viewers are heavier than a plain search page. If PimaMaps stalls, try a desktop browser, reload, or skip the map and use the Assessor’s search, which works without drawing a map. You can also open the county from Pima County in our Arizona directory. For more on the county’s geography, see our Pima County GIS parcel map guide.
Find other Arizona parcel viewers
Platbookmapper keeps a free, county-by-county directory of official parcel viewers and county GIS maps across the United States. The Arizona county GIS page lists every county in the state. If you research land in more than one county, start at the all-states directory or pick a county on the national parcel map, and you will land on the official viewer instead of a data-broker copy.

Open the PimaMaps parcel viewer Pima County in the Platbookmapper directory
Not a survey. County GIS and tax parcel maps are assessment and planning layers. They are not a substitute for a recorded plat, deed, or licensed survey — especially for fences, setbacks, or boundary disputes.
