We could not verify a login-free parcel viewer for Wellington City, Hutt, Porirua or Kāpiti in October 2026, so for those areas use Wellington City Council's online maps or the LINZ title search.

How it works in New Zealand
New Zealand's survey and title system is national: Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) holds every land title and the cadastral parcel layer. LINZ's own Landonline system needs a paid account, but councils republish the LINZ parcel boundaries free, every week, in their public map viewers. A parcel's legal description reads like 'Lot 2 DP 456789', and ownership is shown on a Record of Title.

Online parcel and cadastral maps are for reference only. They are not a survey or a title search. Before you buy land or settle a boundary question, order the official title record from the land registry named on this page and get a licensed surveyor.
