Auditor map and PPN tips
We link out; we do not host Ohio parcels. Select a county, open the auditor/GIS viewer, and search by permanent parcel number (PPN), address, or owner. Metro counties offer rich apps; Appalachian and rural counties may use lighter but still official tools.
Ohio’s land history includes the Virginia Military District, Western Reserve, and PLSS-like ranges—legal description styles differ by region. PPNs are the crosswalk. Lake Erie counties may show coastal and flood context; river counties along the Ohio River likewise.
Tax maps are not surveys. Verify with recorded plats or an Ohio licensed surveyor.
PPN formats include county-specific punctuation—copy from the auditor site or tax bill. Western Reserve versus Virginia Military District legal-description styles can both appear in attributes; neither is drawn by us. Link-out directory only.
Auditor sites sometimes separate “property search” from “map”—use both if needed, always on the official domain. PPN remains the durable key.

Are Ohio online parcel maps survey-grade?
No. County GIS parcels are tax and planning layers. For legal boundaries, use a recorded plat or hire a licensed surveyor.
Why do some Ohio counties say Verify via map?
We only mark a county Listed when we have a curated direct interactive viewer URL. Verify counties still open from the national map with the best available outbound link — always confirm it is the official local source.
Does Platbookmapper draw property lot lines?
