Free parcel viewer: search property boundaries online
A free parcel viewer is usually the county’s own web map. Aggregator sites sometimes wrap the same idea with ads and stale geometry — fine for a quick peek, risky for anything you will file or fence.

Stay on the official viewer
Look for county.gov / county GIS domains, ArcGIS Online apps hosted by the county, Beacon/Schneider, or qPublic branded for that county. Platbookmapper prefers those curated outbound links.
Search property boundaries online
Zoom until lines are crisp, click, and read dimensions only if the county publishes them. Measure tools are approximate. For vacant land deals, pair the viewer with a recent survey when stakes exist.
Phone vs desktop
Many Experience Builder and Web AppViewer maps work on phones; dense attribute tables are easier on desktop. Save the parcel ID in your notes either way.
Free does not mean legal survey
Screen boundaries support research and conversation. Closing, fencing, and construction still lean on recorded documents and licensed surveyors.
