Nouvelle-Aquitaine Parcel & Cadastral Maps

Nouvelle-Aquitaine is France's largest region, taking in Bordeaux, the Dordogne and the Basque coast. The Dordogne and the Charente draw many foreign buyers, and the cadastral plan is the quickest way to see what land comes with a house.

How it works in France

France's cadastre is run by the tax administration (DGFiP) and covers every commune, including the overseas regions. Each plot is identified by its commune, a section of one or two letters and a parcel number. The plan is free to view on cadastre.gouv.fr and as the Parcellaire Express layer on cartes.gouv.fr, the IGN map site that replaced Géoportail. Ownership is not shown on these maps: title is recorded by the Service de la publicité foncière, or in the Livre foncier in Alsace and Moselle.

A note on accuracy

Online parcel and cadastral maps are for reference only. They are not a survey or a title search. Before you buy land or settle a boundary question, order the official title record from the land registry named on this page and get a licensed surveyor or notary to check it.
