Georgia’s land history includes colonial grants, headright plats, and later rectangular surveys—do not assume Midwestern section language everywhere. Coastal counties layer marsh and flood information; north Georgia mountain counties may show steep-slope or timber notes. Independent cities still sit in a county tax map—choose the assessing county.
